Company History

FICO’s history has its roots in Finland and began in 1976 with the production of washing vehicles. In 1981, the company expanded its activities to include the design of vehicles dedicated to container cleaning, marking the beginning of a growth path that would establish the brand as a benchmark for environmental applications across Northern European countries.

Operating daily in particularly harsh climatic conditions has enabled FICO to develop distinctive expertise over time in designing vehicles intended to work even in Arctic freezing conditions. Insulation systems, solutions specifically developed for low temperatures, and continuous technical improvement have helped build a wealth of experience recognized for reliability, durability and operational continuity.

he first machines produced were ice resurfacers designed for rink maintenance. The brand subsequently specialized in the manufacture of equipment for cleaning pipelines and sewer networks, establishing a strong presence across the Nordic markets, extending as far as Iceland and Russia.

In 2021, FICO’s experience, expertise and technological heritage became part of the Cappellotto world. This integration has made it possible to preserve and enhance a technical legacy built over more than fifty years of activity, combining it with Cappellotto’s engineering capabilities, industrial strength and long-term vision.
